Talbot County - "Escape to Talbot County" is their logo and for good reason. Renowned galleries and museums, award-winning restaurants, and luxurious spas pair with an eclectic collection of boutiques and antique stores, bed and breakfasts, and historic attractions. There's a season for art, film, food and music festivals and a season for quiet and calm, ranking this as a go-to destination for both action-packed adventures and relaxing retreats. The big three towns to see in Talbot County are:

Easton: Called "the big city� of Talbot County, Easton highlights include the historic Avalon Theatre for national and top-level regional concerts in the heart of downtown Easton. Be sure to check out the historic Tidewater Inn in Downtown EAston for an elegant stay or just fine dining, or walk up a block and have fresh shucked oysters and choose from a large list of beers at the historic (built in 1889) Washington Street Pub. Also check out the St Michaels Winery and Eastern Shore Brewing located right next door. Oxford: Be sure to take the nation's oldest privately operated ferry service from Bellevue across the Tred Avon River to Oxford! The Oxford-Bellvue Ferry was established in 1683 and is a fun ride to this cool small town that boasts a great farmer's market, the historic Robert Morris Inn 1710, the oldest Inn in America with fine dining and nice pub, or take a Walkin Tour and see Historic Homes, Famous Boatyards, and Great Views. Don't forget to stop into Scottish Highland Creamery and try their award-winning homemade ice cream!

Queenstown - The two main things to do in Queenstown are play golf at one of the top courses in Maryland, Queenstown Harbor Golf, or go shopping at Queenstown Premium Outlets, where you can enjoy savings of 25% to 65% every day at 65 designer and name brand outlet stores featuring Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, St. John, Under Armour and many more. Queenstown is located about 10 minutes east of Kent Island at the 50 / 301 split.

Centreville - See one of the oldest working courthouses in the country right on the square, or stop into Doc's Riverside Grille for a casual and amazing meal. Centreville is also home to the Queen Anne's County Fair and several other fairs and festivals.


Chesapeake Bay Bridge


Kent County - If you are a history lover who enjoys travel that can be infused with rich historical experiences, Kent County is your next dream destination. Nestled into a perfect spot on the Upper Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, this waterfront destination features remarkable highlights sure to pique the interest of any history buff.

Annapolis to Washington


Washington DC - Whether you are going for the Smithsonian Museums, or for a fun evening on the town, Washington DC is not far at all! Here's how to get there:

The Orange Line Metro-Rail from New Carrollton is an easy drive just up 50 at the 50 / I95 intersection. The Metro takes about 30 minutes to get to downtown DC.

The Dillons Bus Service Daily commuter bus service that goes from the Truman Park & Ride and West Street to either K Street or Independence Avenue in Washington DC. Several busses a day run, but weekdays only.

MARC Trains - The MARC Train runs weekdays from New Carrollton to Wahington DC.
